Napoleon’s Cartoon – Quebec Charter of Rights and Freedoms

The Quebec government’s Bill 21, the controversial Quebec secularism law that bans public servants from wearing religious symbols at work, and Bill 101, the province’s French Language Charter, are back in the news. Oh joy!

The inclusion of Catholic is not necessary. Recent Quebec governments have done everything possible to make the province lay, or no religious. Besides that, the Catholic churches are empty these days, except for the right of passage, marriages, funerals, etc. If fact, may of these churches have been closed in recent decades, due to a lack of parishioners, or monies to renovate the buildings. For the politicians, French is their new religion !
