Police raid eight West Island homes in major drug bust

The SPVM in collaboration with the ACCES squad, a team dedicated to targeting black market crime, raided eight West Island homes in a major illegal drug bust last week.

The homes that were targeted in the raid were located in eight municipalities, including Senneville, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Pointe-Claire, Dorval, Lachine, Ste-Genevieve Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Ile-Bizard.

Police seized more than 1,300 cannabis plants, large quantities of bagged marijuana destined for the black market, $150,000 of equipment, $40,000 in cash, cocaine, crack, methamphetamine, magic mushrooms and fentanyl.

According to police, the drugs were mainly intended for distribution to a student client base.
