The Business of Business: 5 Places to work other than home when you're self-employed

Working from home can afford you lots of scheduling flexibility, but physically working at home can also be difficult. There are lots of distractions, from chores to a fully-stocked kitchen, to every-day disruptions like the phone or doorbell. So here are 5 places to work other than home when you're self-employed.

Cafe

Cafes can be great for working - they have a chill vibe and copious amounts of caffeine. Just be sure to bring your earphones in case it's a bit loud or distracting.

Library

Local libraries are quiet, not too crowded, and they usually have bright, sunny areas where working is a lot more enjoyable.

Local park

Find a table in the shade and get some fresh air while knocking off some to-do's in your agenda.

A mall

Malls usually have free Wi-Fi, and they can provide a great background for getting stuff done. Plus, you can get some last-minute errands done afterwards too.

Rental buildings

If finances allow, there are loads of cool commercial office spaces popping up where you can rent by the hour, the day or even the month.
