Remember that little rhyme we were told as kids, that little boys are made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails, where as little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice...
Well, I’m not sure if we don’t use that rhyme because kids there days know better (or can simply Google the real answer) but when I told my 6-year-old daughter this little ditty the other morning at breakfast, she did not hesitate to fire back at me with the “truth."
Little girls are made of rainbows, and nice things – whatever nice things they find nice, because each person is their own person and they like different things. The only thing that ALL little girls are made of is things that boys do not like!
I should have seen this coming because after I told her what little boys were made of, she said, “eww, that’s so not true."
