Julie's Podcast

I first met Julie Cusmariu many years ago. She was a very young child at the time, the daughter of a colleague named Trudy who sold advertising for The Suburban Newspaper. In addition, I met her brother John –also a youngster at the time.

Trudy and I always remained connected, one way or another. She moved on from The Suburban to sell for CJAD Radio. When she stepped down, John took her spot. He would later find his calling as an entrepreneur and the co-owner of JJ’s Salades on Côte des Neiges Road. Julie, meanwhile, would become a  very successful life coach.

You can hear Julie’s wisdom for yourself via her “mom” podcast where she goes deep with her guests around topics that include gender identity, diversity and inclusion, emotional well-being, maintaining healthy relationships with oneself and others, creating change and more. Featured guests are Montreal Gazette columnist, City News Video Journalist and diversity consultant Fariha Naqvi-Mohamed, who recently made history as the first woman to wear the hijab on Quebec television; queer woman of colour and first time mom at 42, Michelle Osbourne, author and psychologist Dr. Harriet Lerner; parenting expert and bestselling author of Aha!, Dr. Laura Markham; educator, clinical counsellor and author, Dr. Deborah MacNamara; among others.

"I created my podcast to support and inspire positive change and healing,” says Julie. “As I, too, was navigating through various phases of life – first marriage, then birth, then motherhood- mom of two boys who are now eight and five years old. I wanted to build the support system I felt I and many others needed in order to turn the existential into the practical, to give an experience a language. “

As an experienced certified life coach and intuitive consultant, Julie brings listeners on a unique experience with her inimitable ability to draw the best from her impressive guests. Julie in Conversation Mother’s Day Revue is a three-part special that will air for three consecutive Wednesdays, May 8,15 and 22 at 11 am PT/ 2pm ET.
