The Laval-Est Titans celebrate Cinderella regional run to the championship

The second season is always an interesting one as upsets and underdogs make for interesting times in the playoffs. The Laval-Est Titans atom A squad just proved that as they won the Hockey Laval Regional Championship on Sunday. The Titans finished the regular campaign with three wins but in the post-season, Laval-Est peaked at the right time, culminating in a 5-4 overtime victory over the Monteuil Eclairs at the Guimond Complex. Giuliano Pugliesi notched the game-winner in the extra-session to earn the championship banner for the Titans. In the final four contests, Laval-Est showed that they were a team destined for bigger things as they knocked-off the regular season champs, the Laval Delta Bruins by a 3-2 tally to advance to the title tilt.
