The 2019 edition of the annual Montreal Media Hockey Marathon, organized by 94.7 Hits, is taking place this Saturday, April 13 at the Pierrefonds Sportsplex. The daylong event will take over all four rinks of the Sportsplex to raise funds to benefit the Otis Grant and Friends Foundation. Marty Lamarre of 94.7 Hits and his dedicated volunteers put their hearts and souls into organizing and hosting the event. Suburban sports editor Mark Lidbetter, like all the referees taking part, will volunteer their services gratis to help benefit the cause. Media teams, members of the NHL Alumni and players from the Montreal Canadiennes, the McGill Martlets and the women’s Olympic squad will take on teams who have raised money to compete in the tournament. The highlight game will take place at 4:00 pm with the “NHL All-Star Game”. Games get underway at 7 a.m. with the final puck drop coming at 9:30 p.m., making for ots of time to take in the fun and games while helping a great cause.
