CSL Dojo well represented on Team Canada

At the fifth JKA Canadian National Championship held in Montreal the first weekend of May, the Côte St. Luc based Dojo of Sensei Stacy Ungar, a 5th Dan in the JKA discipline saw 14 of his students make the grade to join Team Canada at the next World Championships. These competitors will be traveling to Limerick, Ireland for the 14th Funakoshi International JKA Championship which will be held Aug. 18-21, 2017. This opportunity happens once every two to three years with the last World Championships taking place in Tokyo, Japan in October 2014 where the CSL Dojo sent four competitors.

Representing Canada at the World Championships are Bottom row (left to right): Jacob Pichhadze, Aidyn Dagenais-Adler, Dan Babkin (1st Dan), Erica Eiley and David Ihaza.

Top row: Sensei Stacy Ungar (5th Dan JKA), Angelo Baaco (3rd Dan), Harley Eiley (1st Dan), Ali Afrasiabi (1st Dan), Eliana Eisenberg, Peter Ihaza, Sarah-Leah Eisenberg (2nd Dan), Khayden Cesar-Mohammed (1st Dan) and Yasmine Solomon-Markus (3rd Dan).

On Team Canada and also from Dojo CSL but missing in the photo is Shelby Gingras (1st Dan).
