A West Island running and walking group called the Rogue Runners presented a cheque for $2,100 to the On Rock Community Services organization during a wine and cheese event last month.
Kim accepted the cheque on behalf of On Rock, which operates a food Bank, a school lunch program, and a community diner in Pierrefonds.
“On Rock depends on the generosity of people and groups like the Rogue Runners to stay in operation and serve all the people we help every year,” said Kim Reid, who accepted the donation on behalf of On Rock. “This money will go directly to operations and to our Christmas projects.”
Every year, the Rogue Runners collect change and hold events to raise money for an annual charity. They’ve donated to the Special Olympics, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association and NOVA seniors centre.
