Pointe Claire and Desjardins host Alzheimer Society half-marathon fundraiser

This Sunday, June 17th, any interested runners who want to raise money in the Alzheimer Society of Montreal’s Desjardins Pointe-Claire Half-Marathon are encouraged to take part in the third edition of the popular fundraiser.

Runners of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to enter a number of races ranging from one to 21.1 km of racing.

The society noted that in the island of Montreal, “ 33,000 people currently live with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder and in less than 15 years, the number of people affected will increase to 50,000.”

To register or to donate funds for the cause, go online at https://www.demimarathonpointeclaire.com/en for all pertinent starting details, race routes and registration information.
