For the Lakeshore Players Dorval's final show of its 51st season of entertaining West Island live theatre patrons, the troupe will be staging John Patrick's The Curious Savage during the last week of April and the first week of May.
The play centers around Ethel Savage, played by Linda Sheshko, who has recently inherited $10 million from her deceased husband and her adult stepchildren are none too pleased.
Things get worse for the step kids when they find out that Ethel plans to donate the entire bulk of her husband's estate to a fund that will help realize the dreams of wanting strangers.
In lieu of losing out on their expected inheritance, Savage is placed into a mental institution by her stepchildren and begins to wonder who the real crazies are? Those in the sanitarium or those apparently living free in the outside world.
The cast also includes Daniel Lister as Hannibal, Carolyn Roberts as Miss Willie, Laura McDougall as Lily Belle Savage and John Elliott as Dr. Emmett and directed by Bryan Libero.
This production will run from April 28 through May 7 with shows at 8 p.m. and 1 p.m. matinees on Sunday, May 1t and Saturday, May 7.
Tickets range in price from $18 to $28 and can be purchased by calling 514-631-8718. All shows will be presented at the Louise Chalmers Theatre, 501 St. John's Boulevard in Pointe Claire.
