For more than 20 years, Dorval Main Streets has worked in partnership with area Dorval businesses and merchants to support the city’s commercial district. And while the organization is changing names and getting a fresh logo, the work to continue to develop better strategies for area businesses will remain.
Now known as Commerce Dorval, there is even a new website to note the new name and new “vibrant and colourful logo, shaped as a ‘hub’ highlighting the exceptional location of Dorval and its proximity to the airport,” explained Commerce Dorval’s Béatrice Cuzzi .
“With its bright and varied colors, the new logo symbolizes our wish to create a vibrant commercial environment in order to better meet the needs of our diversified clientele,” she said.
Recently, the city welcomed two new services to the community and official openings were held in early June. La Girouette Hair Salon and Spa, which has been serving customers for more than 30 years, recently moved to another location but still on Lakeshore Drive.
The salon boasts more than 16 employees and 10 hairdressers.
“The total investment for this new project reached $ 1.5 million and the business size moved from 500 to 3 200 sq feet,” noted Cuzzi . “She benefited from the City of Dorval’s subsidies for façade renovations and for outdoor signage.”
The Sun & Moon Yoga also recently relocated to better serve its clients and has been in operation for more than a decade.
