Théâtre Bluff Laval

For a special night with the family, enjoy a performance at Théâtre Bluff, a creation company that produces plays based on contemporary issues of concern to teens and young adults. The theater was originally established in 1990 and is now under the art direction of Mario Borges. The theater is dedicated to supporting the works of playwrights from Quebec. Their mission is to create dramatic plays aimed at the lives of teens in order to better capture their audience.

The company’s productions stand out by their creativity and innovative style. The company is sensitive to the constant and rapid transformations of our modern societies, and as such, they are determined to incorporate an open and engaging look at todays world. They have chosen to specialize in contemporary writing, in order to better address the concerns and daily lives of teens today. The importance of text is central to their work, and they develop work that offers teens multiple perspectives on topics that are of main concern to them.

“The company is behind Rencontre Théâtre Ados (RTA), an annual festival promoting theatrical creation to a teen audience,” says organizers. “[They] have also put together AficionAdo, a committee of young readers whose mission is to study theatre plays and perform them in a play-reading format in front of an audience.”

The theater is located at 397, boul. des Prairies. For more information, call them at 450 686-6883, or by email at info@bluff.qc.ca. For information on their scheduling, plays and to purchase tickets visit them online at www.bluff.qc.ca.
