Marc Garneau visited the NDG Senior Citizens' Council

The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, visited the NDG Senior Citizens' Council on May 23 to formally open the New Horizons Program for Seniors call for proposals for 2019. He spoke about how the Government of Canada is helping seniors make a difference in the lives of others and in their communities through this grant, which was awarded to over 5,000 organizations across Canada in 2018.

The NDG Senior Citizens' Council has received the grant for the current year for a project in collaboration with the CIUSSS-CODIM promoting local resources and the social proscription pad in GMFs. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors.
