Student Voices: Accepting rejection and learning from failure

Barbara Corcoran once said, “All the best things happened to me after I got rejected. I knew the power of getting past no.” If you get rejected, don’t take it personally, just use it to make yourself stronger and try harder. Sometimes you don’t get what you want but you get what you need. At first, Barbara’s company, Corcoran Group got rejected. Later on, someone offered her fifty thousand dollars for her company, but she did not want to sell it. Eventually, she ended up selling it for sixty-five million dollars. You cannot let others push you around, be brave and stand strong. Don’t let the little things bother you. Don’t let others make up your future. Don’t let others slow you down. Do what you have to do and don’t listen to others who say you can’t do it. If you don’t stand for something you fall for everything.
